Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Try before you pay

New accounts can start a 7-day trial for $1, which includes 100 credits. Unless you cancel before the 7 days end, the trial renews automatically into the Standard plan at $29.90/month. The $1 trial fee is non-refundable.

2. Cancelling a subscription

• Cancel any time from the Billing page — no email or phone call needed.
• You keep access and your remaining plan credits until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate part-used periods.
• Cancelling stops all future charges.

3. Subscription refunds

• 14-day goodwill window: if you are unhappy with your first payment on a new subscription and have used less than 20% of that period's credits, email us within 14 days and we will refund it in full.
• Accidental renewals: tell us within 7 days of a renewal charge and, if the new period's credits are substantially unused, we will refund it.
• Beyond those windows, payments for periods already delivered are non-refundable.

4. Credit packs

• Unused credit packs can be refunded within 14 days of purchase.
• Partly used packs are refunded pro-rata for the unused credits within that window.
• Credits expire 12 months after purchase and expired credits are not refundable.

5. Failed or faulty runs

If a run fails because of an error on our side or a provider outage, the credits are restored — automatically where we can detect it, otherwise on request. Runs that complete but return results you did not find useful are not refundable, since the underlying data and AI costs are incurred either way.

6. Statutory rights

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you have a 14-day right to cancel a digital purchase. By starting a run you ask us to begin supplying the service immediately and acknowledge that the right to cancel is lost for credits already consumed. This policy does not affect any rights that cannot be waived by law.

7. How to request a refund

Email info@wordsatscale.com from your account address with the charge date and amount. We reply within 3 business days, and approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
